Welcome to the City of Oneida Public Works Department
The Department of Public Works is responsible for improving and maintaining City infrastructure. We strive to ensure City infrastructure is safe and well maintained. Our goal is to provide reliable, responsive, cost efficient, and innovative public works services. The department maintains approximately 50 miles of two-lane roads, 40 miles of sanitary sewer, 40 miles for storm sewer, 2,250 traffic signs, 2 earthen dams, and city owned trees. Other responsibilities include scheduled yard waste pickup, pesticide control, tree trimming and removals, street/roadway repairs and resurfacing, mowing of City properties, street sweeper, sanitary/storm sewer cleaning and repairs and maintaining the City’s vehicle fleet.
